With a background in Tourism, Arts and Marketing, Nicola was new to libraries when she was appointed as the Acting Head of the Hampshire Library Service in March 2008.
Whilst researching and writing the first Vision and Strategy for the Service in 2008, Nicola quickly became a convert to RFID and all the benefits it provided for library customers and staff. Since then, Nicola has found the funding and led on the installation of RFID in some of Hampshire’s libraries, whilst carrying out a fundamental restructure of the Service to ensure its financial sustainability.
Nicola was appointed Assistant Director, Libraries & Information Service back in September 2009.
